In 2020, Brazil held more than 30 auctions of assets like port terminals, airports, railways, highways, oil and gas. The great potential for investments in Brazilian infrastructure, with an asset portfolio of around USD $ 50 billion was one of the main discussion topics at the Second Annual CEBRI-BNDES Conference - International Cooperation for an Innovative Future. "Development banks should continue to be relevant instruments for sustainable finance, acting as facilitators of private financial flows of investments that contribute to the improvement of the population's living conditions and to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda," the document states.
