CEBRI's twenty-three-year history of solid performance is closely linked to the development of Brazilian diplomacy and foreign policy. With the objective of strengthening Brazil's insertion in the global context, disseminating knowledge and influencing the formulation of public policies for national development, a group of ambassadors, intellectuals and entrepreneurs created CEBRI, the only think tank dedicated exclusively to the promotion of the international agenda in the country.
Conceived by former Ambassador Luiz Felipe Lampreia, CEBRI's founding members are highly prestigious, nationally and internationally, such as Celso Lafer, Walter Moreira Salles, Eliezer Batista da Silva, Sebastião do Rego Barros Netto, Luciano Martins de Almeida, Carlos Mariani Bittencourt, Daniel Klabin, Gelson Fonseca Jr., João Clemente Baena Soares, Luiz Olavo Baptista, Maria do Carmo Nabuco de Almeida Braga, Marcus Vinicius Pratini de Moraes, and Roberto Teixeira da Costa.
The organization stands out for its intellectual strength and the significance of its Board of Trustees. CEBRI's advisors are leaders who have built and are building the country's history. They are role models in the public and private sectors, in academia and in civil society in various areas of knowledge. Their different backgrounds and life experiences come together at CEBRI in the shared commitment to promote the insertion of Brazil in the global scenario.
"The creation of CEBRI was inspired by the joint development of wealth, peace among nations through diplomatic strengthening, favoring commercial, scientific and technological operations between countries." - Daniel Klabin, Founding member of CEBRI.
