The Energy Transition Program (PTE) is a project led by the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI) in partnership with IDB, BNDES, Coppe (UFRJ), EPE, FIPE (USP), and MRTS (USP). The results of the second phase present pathways to achieve carbon neutrality in Brazil by 2050. This website presents the three scenarios of the Program, their macroeconomic impacts, also taking into account the feasibility of the estimated penetration of renewables in the electricity sector and decarbonization roadmaps for the main sectors in terms of emissions: energy, cities, transport, industry, and agriculture, forests, and land use (AFOLU).
The Technical Report details the methodology, integrated modeling, and sector-specific results.
