From August 23 to 29, the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI) will take part in the first edition of the Rio Climate Action Week (RCAW) as a Hub Partner, joining the initiative’s network of Institutional Partners. CEBRI will contribute to mobilizing and leading discussions on Geopolitics, Climate Policy, Energy Transition, and International Relations.
The RCAW will be a decentralized week of activities and events taking place across various locations in Rio de Janeiro, bringing together representatives from the public, private, academic, and cultural sectors. Its goal is to foster debate on climate change and drive concrete solutions connected to the Brazilian context, thereby strengthening Brazil’s leadership role on the international stage.
In partnership with leading institutions and figures from Brazil and abroad, RCAW’s thematic hubs will host debates, workshops, and meetings dedicated to the six priority themes of Brazil’s presidency of COP30.
The “Casa COP,” located at CEBRI’s new headquarters and surrounded by the Atlantic Forest, will be one of the stages for this movement. Designed as a space for dialogue, collaboration, and collective action, the Casa will welcome institutions, experts, and initiatives committed to the agendas of international relations, climate diplomacy, climate geopolitics, and energy transition, bringing together impactful experiences, leadership, and solutions.
The Rio Climate Action Week is an independent, nonpartisan initiative, organized in Brazil by Pro Natura International in support of Brazil’s COP30 Presidency. Inspired by the London Climate Action Week, held annually since 2019, RCAW aims to strengthen national and international mobilization toward COP30, connecting solutions, territories, and sectors in favor of climate action, innovation, and green economic development.
Our program will be available soon.
