CEBRI São Paulo: Prospects for the Brazilian Economy in Current International Context

CEBRI São Paulo hosted the event "The Brazilian Economy in an Uncertain International Context" this Friday (19/1), featuring Gabriel Galípolo, Monetary Policy Director at the Central Bank of Brazil. The opening and moderation of the meeting were conducted by André Lara Resende, CEBRI Trustee, economist, and former President of BNDES. The event had the participation of Roberto Teixeira da Costa, Co-Founder of CEBRI, Pedro Vormittag, Deputy Director of External Affairs at CEBRI, and Rafael Bianchini Abreu Paiva, Coordinator at the Central Bank.

Part of a series of debates hosted by CEBRI São Paulo for this year, the initiative took place at Casa Zalszupin in São Paulo. The discussions covered the prospects of the Brazilian economy for the year 2024, the future implications of tax reform, and Brazil's monetary policy.

About Casa Zalszupin: An icon of Brazilian modern architecture hidden in the  neighborhood ,Jardim América, Casa Zalszupin was designed in 1960 by Polish-born Brazilian architect Jorge Zalszupin. In 2020, ETEL, responsible for the re-edition of Zalszupin's furniture, transformed the residence into a cultural space. The location, combining local influence,   modernist influences with Scandinavian architecture, aims to preserve the collection and enrich the designer's legacy through exhibitions, lectures, classes, and research.
