CEBRI Takes a Stance on the Climate Crisis

CEBRI is one of the signatories of a letter released on the 27th of September by the Business Council for Sustainable Development (CDEBS), which will be taken to the COP-26 in November.

The document is also signed by countless CEOs of key companies, such as Octavio de Lazari Júnior (Bradesco), Lorival Luz (BRF), Marc Reichardt (Bayer), Daniel Klabin (Klabin), Fabio Faccio (Renner), Marcelo Melchior (Nestlé), André Lopes de Araújo (Shell), Daniel Mazini (Amazon), Christian Gebara (Vivo), João Paulo Ferreira (Natura) and Marcelo Araujo (Ipiranga).

In the document, called "Business Executives for the Climate", the companies defend measures for a low carbon economy and assume responsibilities for their own companies. These include the commitment to offset greenhouse gas emissions, internal carbon pricing and the decarbonization of operations. Amid the global distrust in relation to Brazilian environmental management, the letter defends a political-regulatory framework that supports companies in these actions.
