From August 2 to 8, the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI) will participate in the second edition of the São Paulo Climate Week 2025 (SPCW), which forms part of the global Climate Weeks initiative—international gatherings aimed at accelerating climate action. With a delegation of climate and energy experts, CEBRI will contribute to discussions on a just transition toward a sustainable future, emphasizing the implementation of concrete solutions to advance Brazil's climate targets.
SPCW is a decentralized and collaborative platform designed to catalyze climate action from urban centers, connecting high-level commitments with measurable impacts. The initiative mobilizes human, financial, and intellectual capital, fostering cross-sectoral coordination to drive the shift toward a low-carbon economy. The 2025 edition will bring together public and private sector leaders for a robust agenda focused on climate innovation, energy transition, bioeconomy, and climate justice.
Throughout the week, CEBRI will host and participate in strategic dialogues with representatives from government, the private sector, civil society, and academia, bridging diverse perspectives to deepen key discussions on the environmental agenda. The program will feature debates on innovation and the energy transition, industrial decarbonization, challenges and opportunities within the AFOLU (Agriculture, Forestry, and Other Land Use) sector, solutions to the climate crisis, and expectations and legacy-building efforts for COP30.
