Julia Dias Leite Welcomes New UK Ambassador Peter Wilson

The CEO of the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI), Julia Dias Leite, hosted the UK Ambassador to Brazil, Peter Wilson, who took over in February this year, for a welcome dinner. The meeting was also attended by the UK Consul in Rio de Janeiro Simon Wood, the members of the CEBRI International Advisory Board Leslie Bethell and Ambassador Marcus Caramuru, CEBRI Trustee Winston Fritsch and BOCOM BBM President Pedro Henrique Mariani.

Julia bestowed Ambassador Peter Wilson with the English edition of the book "Energy in Brazil – Towards a Renewable Energy Dominated System", written by her grandfather, Antônio Dias Leite, the engineer and former Minister of Mines and Energy between 1969 and 1974.

CEBRI, in partnership with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Energy Research Office (EPE), launched an innovative program to promote Brazil's energy transition, with the goal of reaching zero carbon by 2060.
