CEBRI at Climate Week

CEBRI will be present in New York during Climate Week with a series of events that deepen discussions on topics of strategic relevance for Brazil and for the international community along the path that connects the major multilateral forums under Brazilian leadership: the G20, BRICS+, and COP30. Strategies to leverage financing for climate adaptation, to promote the sustainable exploration of critical minerals for energy transitions, and to navigate COP29 negotiations, paving the way to reach ambitious agreements at COP30, will be among the topics debated by high-level experts during the week, which brings together authorities, private sector representatives, and civil society organizations engaged in the climate agenda.

As this year's Climate Week will also be marked by the Summit of the Future, convened by the UN Secretary-General, the events will discuss how the environmental and climate change agendas are transforming multilateralism and demanding more efficiency and agility from the institutions that compose the global governance system.

  • The main recommendations from Think20 Brasil on climate finance, energy transitions, and digital transformation will be the subject of debate on September 18th at the Rockefeller Foundation Convening Center.
  • The current status of COP29 negotiations and their impact on COP30 will be discussed on September 22nd at the New York University Auditorium.
  • The importance of the critical minerals agenda for global decarbonization scenarios will be the theme of the event on September 24th at Holland & Knight’s office.
