Leila Sterenberg is CEBRI's new senior fellow

  • 14 may 2023

The journalist Leila Sterenberg starts a new phase of her career, focused on international relations and the digital communication environment, after 25 years covering national and international politics in printed newspapers and, especially, on television, where she stood out in live historical coverage, such as the terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers in New York, in 2001.

She is now a new Senior Fellow at CEBRI, the Brazilian Center for International Relations. She has a specialization in International Relations from Fundação Getúlio Vargas and has distinguished herself in news coverage and special projects abroad, simultaneous translations in five languages, and interviews with national and foreign personalities from several areas. She is also the director of the documentary "Letters from Bessarabia" (GloboPlay), filmed in Romania and Moldova, which deals with issues such as nationality, minorities, and prejudice, based on a trip to the birthplace of her paternal grandparents.

Leila was welcomed on Tuesday (9th) by CEBRI's CEO, Julia Dias Leite, and Communication and Marketing Manager, Felipe Vazquez, in the Luiz Felipe Lampreia studio, named after the Ambassador who founded the think tank.
