Between September 4 and 9, 2022, the Independence with Integration Forum was held in Portugal, convened by the Brazil-Europe Integration Forum (FIBE) as part of the celebrations to mark Brazil's Independence Bicentennial. The day's agenda included screenings of Sebastião Salgado's "Amazônia" photography exhibition and a debate on social responsibility and democracy with Gilmar Mendes, Brazilian Federal Supreme Court (STF) Minister and President of FIBE's Advisory Board, and Carmen Lúcia, STF Minister.
