Member of the International Advisory Board at the Brazilian Center of International Relations (CEBRI). Matias Spektor is an Professor and Dean at Fundação Getulio Vargas’s School of International Relations. During 2022-2023, he will be visiting fellow at the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies and fellow at Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Matias is the author of academic articles in international journals such as the Journal of Global Security Studies, Global Environmental Politics, Journal of Democracy, Contemporary Politics, Cold War History and The Nonproliferation Review. His books publications include “The Origins of Nuclear Cooperation (2015), "18 Days: when Lula and FHC united to win Bush's support" (18 Dias: quando Lula e FHC se uniram para conquistar o apoio de Bush - 2014), “Kissinger and Brazil” (Kissinger e o Brasil - 2009), and "Azeredo da Silveira: a testimonial" (Azeredo da Silveira: um depoimento - 2010). He was a visiting fellow at the King’s College London (2013-2014), the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars (2012), the Council on Foreign Relations (2010) and the London School of Economics (2009). His research has been funded by CAPES, CNPq, FAPESP, FAPERJ, Hewlett Foundation, MacArthur Foundation, Carnegie Corporation of New York and Stanton Foundation. Matias holds a PhD from the University of Oxford (2007).
