Setor de energia elétrica – por onde recomeçar?

  • 04 july 2016

The electricity sector is an important exception among the various segments of the economy and infrastructure that appear extremely disjointed in mid-2016. Its great impact on the daily lives of families, companies and industries has made it an object of excessive negative attention from the government. The sector found itself 'victim' of discretionary measures - of which some were intended to revolutionize conditions - and adjustments that market forces themselves should carry out. Its regulatory and operational bodies received all sorts of political interference, and its prices were arbitrarily manipulated in the wake of elections. As a result, every business segment lost its internal rationality and with each intervention – disastrous most of the time – others followed, of a corrective nature, which made a bad situation even worse.
