The Valor Econômico newspaper published a Brazil-China special on the 31st of August, 2021. The Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI) was cited as a key source in four matters, in which Trustees Marcus CaramuruAnna Jaguaribe and Senior Fellow Philip Yang were referenced. The experts spoke about China's role in the current global geopolitical situation and about business opportunities for Brazil in the current scenario.

The magazine was circulated with subscribers and published in three languages: Portuguese, English and Mandarin. CEBRI's Vice-President Emeritus and President of the Brazil-China Business Council, Luiz Augusto Castro Neves, remarked: "In the last decade alone, the trade balance with China reached US$ 170 billion, almost half of Brazil's total trade balance".

The publication "China's Five-Year Plan: Perspectives for Chinese-Brazilian Cooperation", led by CEBRI's Asia Program, under the coordination of Trustee Anna Jaguaribe, was also referenced in the special. According to said study, China has made tremendous advances in the fight against poverty and it is estimated that the country's middle class, currently made up by 400 million people, will rise out of poverty in a decade.

Note: CEBRI has opened registrations for the course "The Chinese Economy Today". The course has limited spaces and is aimed at leaders of the public and private sector in Brazil.
