China's 14th Five-Year Plan and the celebration of 100 years of the Chinese Communist Party consolidated Chinese most recent foreign policy strategies. In this context, CEBRI's Asia Program, in partnership with the Chinese Embassy in Brazil, released the publication "China's 14th Five-Year Plan: Perspectives for Cooperation between China and Brazil" in late July. The report brings together the analyses and discussions carried out in the series of webinars that took place between April and June this year. The events addressed strategic themes about Asia, the Chinese economy and its international insertion and the country's relations with Brazil.
Governance, Culture and Sustainability
Economic growth, the environmental and climate agenda, technological development and cultural cooperation between Brazil and China were some of the subjects discussed during the debates. Ambassadors, academics and representatives of key international institutions were among the speakers at the events.
Yang Wanming, Sergio Amaral, Marcos Caramuru and Sarquis José Buainain Sarquis were some of the ambassadors who participated, alongside academics such as COPPE/UFRJ professor Suzana Kahn Ribeiro and USP professor Cecília Mello.
