Debates on China's geopolitical crisis and division of emerging markets, with Gavekal researcher Arthur Kroeber

  • 15 march 2024

In the context of the 50-year celebration of diplomatic relations between Brazil and China, the Brazilian Centre for International Relations (CEBRI) held two meetings with Arthur Kroeber, Founding Partner and Research Director of the Gavekal Group, and Udith Sikand, Senior Emerging Markets Analyst at the Gavekal Group, to analyze the geopolitical crisis and division of emerging markets in China.

Both events took place on 11 March in São Paulo and 15 March in Rio de Janeiro. The initiatives, part of a range of activities planned for 2024, encourage reflection on the future prospects for bilateral relations between Brazil and China, promoting dialogue between experts and leaders from the public, private and third sectors.

The meetings were attended by leading figures in the debate on Brazil-China relations, such as André Clark, CEBRI Trustee and General Manager at Siemens Energy Brasil, in São Paulo, and Ambassador Marcos Caramuru, International Advisory Board Member at CEBRI, and Larissa Wachholz, Senior Fellow at CEBRI, in Rio de Janeiro, alongside experts and leaders from the public, private and third sectors.
