CEBRI's CEO Julia Dias Leite, CEBRI's Senior Fellow Sérgio Gusmão Suchodolski, and CEBRI's Project Fundraising Manager Pedro Vormittag held a series of meetings in Washington D.C. aiming to expand the dialogue and relationships with other organizations.

They met with representatives of the Inter-American Dialogue (IAD), one of the leading US-based think tanks in the area of international relations, particularly focused on issues such as democratic governance, economic prosperity and social equity in Latin America and the Caribbean. In attendance was IAD's President and CEO, Rebeca Bill Chavez, and IAD's Asia and Latin America Program Director, Margaret Myers.

Afterwards, they went to the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), where they met with Fabrizzio Opertti, Manager of the Integration and Trade Sector of the IDB, and Guilherme Piereck, Senior Specialist at the IDB.

Also on the agenda was a lunch with the new Executive Director of the Green Climate Fund, Mafalda Duarte, and the World Bank Executive Director for Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Haiti, Panama, Philippines, Suriname, and Trinidad and Tobago, Erivaldo Gomes. The main focus was the quality leap in the way development banks finance high impact projects regarding the climate emergency.

On another occasion, they were able to speak with Erivaldo Gomes about Brazil's participation in the international economic order and the Brazilian strategic agenda for the production of global public goods, such as food security, sustainable environment, and prevention of global health emergencies.

They also had a meeting with Alfonso Garcia Mora, Regional Vice President for Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean of the International Finance Corporation, where they discussed issues such as basic sanitation, food security, and network investments, especially dealing with IFC's sustainable development projects in Brazil, the institution's largest client worldwide.
