Papers for discussion at CEBRI's Political Economy Program

In August of 2022, the policy paper "Elements for a Strategy to Return to Sustainable Growth and Social Inclusion" was released, with recommendations for Brazilian economic policy from specialists of CEBRI's Political Economy Program. The project was supported by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Brazil and the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (FIESP).

To consolidate and formulate the guidelines for this document, discussions were held among the specialists and collaborators of the Program throughout the year on themes related to macroeconomic, monetary, and fiscal public policies. Within this scope, the Program has recently published the papers written by the specialists to provide a foundation for these discussions. Check them out below:

The tax burden in Brazil. By Armando Mariante, Vice-President of Brazil's National Development Bank (BNDES) between 2006 and 2011, and Marina Liuzzi, Ph.D. candidate in Public Administration and Government at FGV's School of Business Administration. Read here.

PPP Proposal. By Gabriel Galípolo, Senior Researcher at CEBRI and Executive Secretary at the Ministry of Finance. Read here.

Capital markets: where we are and what can be done. By Ernani Torres, Senior Researcher at CEBRI. Read here.

The public deficit is the private sector's savings. By Simone Deos, Senior Researcher at CEBRI. Read here.

Main Aspects of an Employment Security Program. By Enzo Gerioni, Ph.D. in Economic Science from the State University of Campinas. Read here.
