Exploring possible pathways to advance the energy commitments made at COP28, considering the progress achieved so far, the main barriers and challenges experienced since then, and the potential developments beyond COP30. The discussion will focus on the commitments: (i) tripling of renewable energy capacity, (ii) doubling energy efficiency improvements, and (iii) transitioning away from fossil fuels in a just, orderly and equitable manner, providing an overall assessment and perspectives.
