Conversation Brazil in the World: Summit Amazônia, G20, COP Dubai and COP30 in Brazil

  • Institutional

The meeting gathered sustainability experts to share their knowledge on current environmental challenges. The objective was to promote a constructive debate, exploring perspectives, practices, and actions that can drive environmental balance. Relevant topics related to Brazil on an international scale were addressed, such as the preservation of the Amazon, participation in global forums, and climate change.

During the event, the Brazilian leadership in international environmental policy was discussed, particularly considering the intense schedule of diplomatic meetings on climate change in the international agenda. The Agenda covered the preparations for the unprecedented Amazônia Summit, scheduled to take place in August in the city of Belém, Pará, as well as Brazil's participation in COP28, to be held between November and December 2023 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Brazilian presidency of the G20 proceedings throughout 2024 and the deliberations surrounding COP30 (Paris+10), expected to be held in the Brazilian Amazon by the end of 2025, were also discussed.
