Not all countries that have opened up to trade have developed. Still, all those that have developed have done so by participating in global trade. Because of climate and technological transformations and new geopolitical uncertainties, the Brazilian economy’s renewed international engagement, especially in its commercial dimension, becomes a priority challenge for public policy. These findings are part of the diagnosis and proposals formulated by the Center for Studies in Integration and Development (CINDES), in the paper "Integrate to Grow: A Proposal for Trade Liberalization." The paper was written to promote discussions from the pre-election phase to the new government inauguration.
This webinar will present the paper and have comments by two economists and a diplomat with large experience on the subject.
