Perspectives and Challenges for 5G Implementation in Brazil

The advent of 5G enables a new kind of interaction between objects and the end consumer, broadening prospects in a variety of sectors. The 5G auction in Brasilia, on November 4th 2021, will be an important step towards the implementation of the new technology, which will begin in all of Brazil's state capitals in July 2022. With this in mind, CEBRI's Infrastructure Program convened a closed-door meeting on 5G in Brazil to share views and positions about new developments in the sector and to debate the possibilities of 5G technology in Brazil, as well as the impacts, consequences, and difficulties of its implementation.
