On June 10th, CEBRI held the roundtable "Dialogue on the Challenges of Security and Democracy in Brazil and Latin America", in partnership with the Igarapé Institute and The Dialogue. The event witnessed the launching of the publication "Unfulfilled Promises", which addresses several topics related to Latin America. 

The event was attended by Michael Shifter (Inter-American Dialogue), Robert Muggah (Igarapé Institute), Maria Hermínia Tavares de Almeida (CEBRAP and USP) and Monica Herz (CEBRI and IRI-PUC-Rio), adn was moderated by Andrés Schipani (Financial Times).
