Biography Mônica Sodré

Political Scientist with a bachelor's and master's degree from the Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar), a doctorate in International Relations from the Universidade de São Paulo (USP) and a specialization from the Columbia Global Centers, linked to Columbia University based in New York. She acted as project consultant for private and civil society organizations in Brazil and abroad, on topics such as the political, electoral and party system and relations between the executive and legislative branches in Brazil.

As a professor of Political Science, Mônica Sodré has taught at the Center for Public Leadership (CLP) and at the graduate program of the São Paulo School of Sociology and Politics Foundation (FESPSP). Since 2018, she has been the Executive Director of the Political Action Network for Sustainability - RAPS, a third sector impact organization focused on supporting political leaders from different political parties who are committed to democracy and sustainable development, with a special focus on the National Congress.
