Advances and challenges in the modernization of Brazilian infrastructure

In order to increase investments in infrastructure and improve their quality, concrete steps must be taken to rebuild the country’s image and international reputation, with a focus on the environmentand the Amazon region. It is essential to have a medium- and long-term perspective, and consider the modernization of infrastructure a policy objective of successive governments. It is expected that the new administration will bring a new posture and decisive actions to regain the country’s credibility, join the OECD and thereby adhere to its rules of good governance, including in terms of transparency and anti-corruption, and steer the country towards a more open, inclusive, sustainable and competitive economy.
