Biography Carlos Mariani Bittencourt

Founder of the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI). Mr. Mariani Bittencourt is Chair of the Board of Directors of Participações Industriais do Nordeste (PIN) and PIN Petroquímica. He is Vice-Chair of the Federation of Industries of the State of Rio de Janeiro (FIRJAN).

He was President of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Chemical Industry Association (ABIQUIM), having held numerous positions in the petrochemical industry, including participation in the founding of Braskem. He is Co-Chair of the Mercosur-European Union Business Forum, Co-Chair of the Brazil-Japan Wise Group and member of the Brazilian Business Coalition.

Mr. Mariani Bittencourt received his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Economic Engineering and Industrial Administration from the National School of Engineering of the University of Brazil (now the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro).
