The Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI) was the co-organizer of the International Seminar: “Access to the Global Energy Market to Improve Local Energy Security: The Latin American Case”, that happened in Lima, on Peru, from September 20 to 21. The conference was organized by CEBRI in partnership with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation KAS-EKLA (Regional Programme Energy Security and Climate Change in Latin America) and with the International Studies Institute (IDEI) of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. Participants included Ambassador José Botafogo Gonçalves, Vice-Chairman Emeritus of CEBRI, and Armando Mariante, member of the Board of Trustees. The objective of this seminar was to promote an exchange of experiences between the specialists, academics and politicians of Latin America, Europe and Asia, aiming to optimize the rational use of the energy resources in a safe and integrated way, guaranteeing universal access to energy.
